Sexual contact can transmit Sexually Transmitted Infections (STI) and may result in pregnancy. There are no fees for testing or treatment.

Within 96 hours of an assault, you can get a 性侵犯 Forensic Examination (commonly referred to as a rape kit) at a hospital. While there should be no charge for a rape kit, there may be a charge for medical or counseling services off campus and, 在某些情况下, insurance may be billed for services. You are encouraged to let hospital personnel know if you do not want your insurance policyholder to be notified about your access to these services. The New York State Office of Victim 服务 may be able to assist in compensating victims/survivors for health care and counseling services, including emergency funds. To best preserve evidence, victims/survivors should avoid showering, 洗, 改变衣服, 梳理头发, 喝, 吃, or doing anything to alter physical appearance until after a physical exam has been completed.

While many who study or conduct research in the U.S. understand English well, during a time of trauma and stress, they may benefit from a 医生ument that is available in their native language, while still being customized to the resources available on campus and in the community. Therefore, we have taken the additional step of translating the 医生ument into a number of languages (with more in production), and developing a customizable form where any college can answer a few questions and have that customized information inputted automatically in English and all available translations.
